Portia de Rossi has apologised to those “whose lives have been affected” by her marriage to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres. The actress, currently gearing up to reprise her role in the movie version of cult TV show Arrested Development, made the comments in a spoof public service announcement that speaks out against supporters of the same-sex marriage ban in California. "When I got married, all I was thinking about was my own joy at committing to love my partner for the rest of my life. I didn't think about all the people I was hurting by getting married,” Portia says. "That was selfish. So I want to apologise to all those people whose lives have been affected by me getting married."
