Five steps to…1940s waves

Can Kate Bosworth do no wrong? Always immaculate on the red carpet, always with one hunky boyfriend or another on her arm, and always wearing the latest sought after designer gown, it sure seems tough being a Hollywood beauty! Recently seen at fashion's hottest event, the 2010 Costume Institute gala, Kate looked fabulous. Once we had stopped admiring her Valentino gown, it was in fact Kate's 1940s style waves that caught our eye. Eager to recreate this look we popped down to London stylist Michael Van Clarke's salon to get his interpretation of Kate's style.

Michael's five easy to follow steps left our model with luscious curls, waves and lots of body in her hair, and proved that this style can be worn on a daily basis not just on the red carpet. All that's required is some hairstyling mousse, a diffuser hair dryer and some hair pins. Easy peasy!
