British Airways have apologised after some of their cabin crew behaved like 'drunken spoilt brats' on a flight from London to Washington.

Passengers in first and premium class were left horrified after drunken stewards downed bottles of champagne and red wine, were kissing, 'heavy petting' and yelling 'like spoiled brats' reports The Sun.

The passengers, who pay up to £7,500 a ticket, complained to BA as they were unable to sleep after the off-duty flight attendants got drunk and disorderly on the flight, which departed on January 26.

One onlooker told the paper, 'They were behaving like drunken spoilt brats and were incredibly unprofessional. They were running up and down the aisles, falling over and disturbing passengers. They let the airline down badly.'

A spokesman for BA said, 'We apologise to customers. We're investigating and will take any appropriate action.'

It's not the first time the airline have been in the news this month, after a BA pilot was suspended for the second time for molesting a female passenger.
