Going on holiday should be a fun experience, but there's just one massive hurdle to get over before you hit the beach...the airport.
There's nothing more stressful than running through an airport, throwing your passport in the face of a overly-chipper agent, dashing to the gate and watching your hand luggage spill all over the floor as you fall through the x-ray scanners.
But it turns out us Brits make the situation worse by panic packing and over-checking the essentials before we've even closed our front doors.
According to new research by sunshine.co.uk the average holidaymaker packs their suitcase a week early and checks their passport ten times before they reach the terminal.
As well as this, most nervy passengers arrive much earlier than the required 2 hours to the airport and end up spending most of their cash on duty free goodies.
Out of the 1,211 UK adults surveyed only 3% said they packed their suitcase on the same day as their flight...but how do they decide what shoes to take so quickly?!
We have to admit we're in the 'sooner the better' camp, and we understand why the majority of those surveyed admitted to inspecting their cases five times before checking in. What if we've forgotten our make-up bag, or our contact lenses, or our deodorant...nightmare!
What do you think? Are you a nervous traveller?
