The pilates retreat
Set in 32 acres of parkland and just moments from Climping Beach, Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa retreats are all about unwinding – both physically and mentally.
Susie Mermaid, expert pilates instructor and holistic therapist, hosts sessions focusing on breathing, stretching and sculpting, aiming to strengthen the whole body from the inside out. With improved balance, posture and flexibility, guests will leave the retreat walking taller with a newfound sense of self-awareness.
Prices start at £399 per person, based on two people sharing a twin or double bedroom.
The raw food retreat
The Raw Retreat, sets in beautiful Cornwall, provides bespoke programmes in health recovery (ie, if you suffer from gut problems, joint pain etc), detox, diabetes, juice fasting, weight-loss and fertility.
Activities include raw cookery workshops using fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouted grains and more (including some mean looking fake chocolate cake), health coaching, meditation, yoga and massage therapy.
Prices start at £455 for two nights double occupancy, though full retreats tend to be three weeks long.
The weight loss retreat
If you need to lose weight fast, head straight to Slimmeria, a luxury retreat in a grade 2* Listed Georgian country house in East Sussex.
In true bootcamp fashion, you ditch all home comforts, including TV, Internet, coffee, tea and alcohol, in favour of bespoke training sessions, raw veg, soup and juice. Hardcore.
Prices start at £535 per person for a weekend detox.
The spa retreat
Sometimes, all you need is a bit of pampering, which is just what Simply Healing Detox Retreat offers.
As well as your usual juice detox plans for weight loss and wellbeing, the West Sussex retreat specialises in relaxing treatments for the mind and body, including Swedish and Thai massages, green tea facials, Shamanic healing and hypnotherapy. Bliss.
From £595 per person for two nights.
The culinary retreat
A cookery school and countryside escape all in one. Middle Piccadilly is a quaint cottage in the middle of the Dorset countryside where you can relax, get a couple of spa treatments, and learn how to cook healthy food.
As part of the new culinary programme, owner and resident Chef Dominic Harvey teaches how to prepare his signature vegetarian meals, including mains and desserts, in culinary workshops over the course of three days. Yum!
From £500 per person for three nights.
