Iceland's leading tour operator has launched a Game of Thrones experience tour for fans who want to see the colossal filming locations.

Iceland Travel will take you on a guided visit to the key filming locations where John Snow and his band of merry Crows fight off the Wildlings north of The Wall. You'll be able to explore locations used in the third series and see a sneak peek of some of the top-spots chosen for the upcoming fourth series. Spoiler alert!

The four night tour will take you to beautiful Lake Mývatn and you will be treated to tales of The Seven Kingdoms by local guide Jon Thor Benediktsson, who also guided the Game of Thrones crew on set during filming for the third series.

You'll also see the beautiful Goðafoss waterfall, Hverfell crater, Höfðabrekkuheiði (the cave where Jon Snow and Ygritte had their first romantic encounter), and the land they crossed with the Wildlings.

There are some historic locations on the way too, including the dark castles of Dimmuborgir, the caves of Grjótagjá and the bubbling mud pits of Hverir. Before the end of the tour, travellers will take in the landscapes which inspired J.R.R Tolkien to write the Lord of the Rings and take a dip in the revitalizing natural waters of Mývatn baths.

If you want to extend your stay by a few more days, you have the option to join an adventure tour to climb part of the almighty glacial tongue of Sólheimajökull - a masterpiece of amazing ice formations formed by ever-changing ancient frozen water.

Alternatively, you can take the Golden Circle Tour to the dramatic landscapes at Þingvellir, which has been confirmed as a filming location for series four of the hit show.

The Game of Thrones – Iceland: Beyond The Wall Tour is available from 1 October 2013 to 30 April 2014, priced at £699 per person. The trip includes two nights in the beautiful northern town of Akureyri surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and two nights in Iceland's capital Reykjavík at the new Reykjavik Lights Hotel.
