Why not grab some winter sun in a luxurious child free zone in the Caribbean...

Why go?

For those that are not down with sharing their holiday time with other people's children (or your own!), Sandals' resorts are only open to couples.

So why not round up your partner, grab some friends, and head out to the Caribbean for a week or two of all inclusive luxury.

Where to stay

If you thought Sandals' was just for honeymooners, think again.

We stayed at the largest of their resorts, Grande Riviera, Ocho Rios in Jamaica and it's a great place to make friends, or enjoy the company of those you came with.

There is the white sand and blue seas you would expect from the Caribbean (bliss) but with an added drop of indulgence.

'Luxury included' is a brand policy at the resort, so there's no scrimping on cheap, own brand spirits when you order drinks, portion sizes are generous and there is a host of activities that you can get involved with.

What to eat?

With 15 restaurants onsite there is plenty to choose from, including traditional Caribbean fare, seafood, French dining, sushi and Chinese.

Additionally, the evening entertainment offers something to suit all tastes, with beach bonfire parties and nightclubs to elegant piano bars and cocktail parties. You certainly won't be bored, and with all of this included in the price there's no need to bring your purse out with you!

What to do?

Free golf on a beautiful 18-hole course is a major selling point for many holiday goers, while the free water sports may tempt you into trying something new without feeling the need to commit to a whole day out at sea.

As it's all inclusive – there's no shame in returning to your paddle boat after 20 minutes if you decide you're more cut out for champagne drinking that ocean life.

If golf and water sports sound like too much hard work, you can lounge next to one of the many pools dotted around the resort, or relax on the white sand of Jamaica's largest private beach.

Indulge in a couple's spa treatment at the Red Lane Spa, where you can enjoy a romantic steam room and Jacuzzi together before your pampering session. After all, Sandals is all about the romance.

From the four-poster beds with daily towel and flower arrangements, to butler serviced rooms, the friendly staff ensure that all of your needs are catered to, making your holiday as relaxing as possible.

If you're keen to experience activities outside of the resort there are a number of tours available, including Dolphin encounters, off-road driving, zip-lining or why not join a human chain climbing the local Dunn's River Falls.
