Movies are one of the most important parts of Christmas day giving, they really can create lasting memories with your loved ones. You see, one of my favourite Christmas memories is snuggling up with my Grandma to watch Mission Impossible, a film I can’t now watch the opening scenes of without thinking about my Nan. So, while you might think of DVDs as an easy gift to give, think again. Here’s our list of the top DVD releases, just in time for Christmas.

Adult or a child, all three Toy Story films are fantastic. Woody, Buzz and the gang have become like a second family to millions across the globe and, although this might be their final outing as Andy packs them away and heads off to college, owning the trilogy on DVD means you can keep getting the toys out of the closet at your leisure.\r\n“I’ll be buying this for my cousins, with the hope that they’ll want to unpack and watch it with all the family on Christmas Day.”

One of my favourite rom coms of the year. Heartbreaker was a welcome breath of fresh air when it came out earlier this year. Romain Duris stars as Alex, a professional Heartbreaker, hired to break up the relationship between Julliette (Vanessa Paradis) and her fiancé Jonathan (Andrew Lincoln) with just one week to complete the job. But, of course, Alex falls in love and finds it hard to separate business and pleasure.

The girls are back, again. On their second outing the ladies cause trouble in Abu Dhabi, dealing with all number of issues ranging from men, babies, motherhood, jobs, and, of course, fashion. Many critics lambasted the second film, but we still feel it deserves pride of place on the DVD shelf of any SATC fan.
