You've only been together since September yet you want him to consider you in his living arrangements? Maybe you should consider him and move out of your parents... what's the difference?!

At the end of the day I'm guessing it all comes down to money and finances -  as SC said he would get such shit for saying 'oh no this simply won't do - Kiki requires an ensuite'... As you've said you've had a chat and come to a resolution, which is good. It's still early days into your relationship so a year from now you may be in the right place to move in together.... until then make the most of what you have. That's life I'm afraid  - unless you have your own place you have to work around parents, housemates etc... and there wishes come first I'm afraid.

Kiki, I don't know how you survive still living there!!! If I go stay with my mum within 2 weeks I am screaming for space. Cannot deal with it. I know it may be easier on cleaning, money etc but its such a great feeling when you live on your own. You get your own routines etc. And I would seriously suggest you do this before moving in with your OH. Its one of those steps I feel we all need to just grow up a bit. And if you are meant to be together, another year living apart isn't going to hurt. Took me and my OH 5.5 years before we could live together.

Kiki, maybe you can move to somewhere on your own until the course starts? It might be really good for you as you'll be able to have some independence and your own space for a bit.

I live in a single room and it's much cheaper than a flatshare with a shared kitchen and 2 shared bathrooms.. but as rooms are rented individually (and also to couples, if they want to share), bills are inclusive and there's a weekly cleaner, with no issue regarding regular guests.

Hopefully if Mr Kiki passes his driving test though (fingers crossed) it will balance out the who-visits-who issue. If you're meant to be together then there's no need to rush things Smile
