Mum isn't talking to me

Hi All, Need some advice. Met a guy while on a weekend away with friends. We phone and message eachother on msn. Sometimes the chats take a bit of a racy turn and if i'm being honest can get quite dirty. Haven't told parents about him as its nothing serious but mum found one of our racy conversations and shes not talking to me now. I think shes being totally unreasonable, am i right? |

Well, its probably embarassment, its not really something your mum wants to think about you doing. If you're on a shared computer I'd be a bit more careful to avoid things like this. |

Cringe! Embarrasing for you, but even more so for your mother. She's prob just having trouble looking you in the eye at the moment... I'm sure that it will pass too, and for god's sake delete your saucy goigns on so she can't read any more! "and that's all i have to say about that..." |

To be honest Lola, your mum is being really childish - ok, maybe she doesn't want to think of her little girl as a grown-up, but it's probably just embarrasment and she isn't dealing with it very well. Imagine if it was the other way round (or not...don't scar yourself psychologically!)

I wouldn't call her childish for it. It's a bit awkward and weird when you are faced with full on evidence that your "baby" is a fully functioning sexual adult, tbh. You always know it's probably going on, but you don't dwell on it but being presented with solid in yer face evidence is a bit shocking, initially . Hope she recovers and all goes back to normal soon! |
