Mr Jess and I have been talking about getting married for a while now, and yesterday we went to my parents so he could ask my Dad and make it all official.  My family is really excited and I'm so happy it's ridiculous.

We're planning to have a small ceremony in November, just very close friends and family.  It's funny, but doing it second time around I just want it to be all about us and the actual ceremony than the flowers and cake and whatnot.

I'm so excited!!!

Blimey - that was quick! I don't mean that horribly, by the way, but this was a surprise to see on the board (a nice one)! I hope it all works out for you. Congratulations! I like the idea of a ceremony all about just the two of you. x

Heh @ Lily, that has been some people's reaction we're used to it now.  I was worried about how mu family might react but they were all very pleased for us and the friends I've told have said they could see it coming.

Smalex - I'm not having an engagement ring this time around, I told Mr Jess I wasn't worried about having one, although he did give me a pretty silver ring to wear.  As we're getting married shortly, I'll get a nice wedding ring instead. :)

Many congrats :-)

Should you require a ring bearer, my cat is available at short notice - he looks very cute with a Santa Hat on his head, So I imagine a cusion would be no problem at all :-)

You deserve some happiness after all the crap you've been through.

I know you really don't care about your knob-end ex, but does he know? I remember feeling so badly for you when he was a cock, so whilst YOU won't necessarily take any pleasure out of his misery.... I think I would, as I couldn't believe what a moron he was...Please humour me, tell me he dropped to his knees and you could hear him crying down the phone saying 'Why, Why did I ever let this woman go?'

Ha ha!  Well I need to decide on a wedding ring; I'm not sure whether to go for a plain one, an eternity ring, or have one made.

Ah, I'm afraid your cat won't be needed as Mr Jess is planning on having his friend be the ring bearer, in true November Rain style carrying them on his little finger.  It must be a musician thing...

I haven't told the ex and am not bothered if he finds out via someone else - I really don't care how he feels about it, to be honest.
