I am feeling completely and utterly miserable today and can't seem to shift it. *Warning of wallowing and self-pity* I had planned to do lots today, general sorting things out and pottering around but I woke up and just could not be arsed so have stayed in my pyjamas eating the mini crunchies left over from Halloween. I have four mahoosive spots on my chin that just won't go away and are making me feel like a leper. This last week I've having dreams about my ex which I can understand because its coming up to a year since we broke up but the last thing I ruddy want is him in my head. I am seriously considering escaping somewhere for the end part of december and avoiding xmas, my brithday and new years. I knew I should have gone with my friend to Australia. Bah! I'm just having one of those days and need a good slap. I'm hoping those handsome men from Public Enemies will cheer me up later on. If all else fails, you can always rely on Johnny Depp. |

Aaaah kneesy, sorry you're having a rubbish day honey. Is there any way you can get out to Oz to see your pal for Christmas/New Year? I went last year for two and a half weeks and it was fab. If you really think that you will be fed up over here at that time of year, then get your little booty out the UK and off to somewhere with new experiences, new faces and maybe even a bit of sunshine! PS - you cheered me up anyway - the word "grumpus" really made me laugh - I keep thinking of a hairy little creature with a cross face snarling away in a corner somewhere and sticking it tongue out at anyone that passes....like one of Ricky Gervais' Flanimals...

Aw chicks :( Hope you are feeling better. It's awful when you have a rubbishy day. I'm not looking forward to the holidays either, especially since I've never had it without the ex for years...so not good. But as they say it's what you make of it, like satsuma suggested is there anyway you could get out to your friend in Oz? Hope you are feeling better :) Mr Depp always has a secret way of making you feel better :D x

Thanks ladies. I feel fine today, in fact rather hyper when I should be going to sleep soon. I don't think theres any way of getting out to see my friend, I just don't have the money, if I win the lottery anytime soon I will definitely be jumping on a plane though. I'm scoping out nye ideas and am going to ask one of my best friends up north what he's doing and perhaps go and stay with him for a few days. It might not be across the ocean but its something. Glad its not only me who hates the holidays, it has that damn effect of making you feel so pathetic and lonely and I swear if I have one more crappy birthday I'm going to blow my lid and a lot of people will not getting any presents or phone calls from me on their birthdays again. |

Aw Knees, hope you're more cheery today! It looks like there's a market for an 'I am not impressed with Xmas and related holidays' club! I'm not a fan of xmas and new year is always an anti-climax. My husband has his birthday two days after xmas and I always make a point of it being birthday time, because the poor lad gets joint xmas-birthday presents and people wrap his birthday gifts in Father Christmas paper, which is a bit mean. If it's any consolation, not one member of my family phoned me on my birthday this year  At least yours is to come so you can make it cool! |

My birthday is the 2nd of Jan, people either forget, are skint or too hungover to celebrate with me. Some of my own family forget, and a lot places are closed. Bah to holiday birthdays :( x

Yeah my birthday is Dec 29th and it's a real bummer, I love Christmas but find my birthday a bit of a let down when friends forget and I really don't like NYE so think I qualify as a grump as well.

We should be like the queen and have two birthdays. People should plan these things when getting jiggy so not to have a xmas baby. Ragingwitch - can't believe people do joint presents. I'm 5 days after xmas so its not too bad but you wouldn't do it with any other birthday so just because its near xmas...no excuse! It makes me so mad! My brother will always wrap up my presents in xmas paper just to wind me up. |
