I went to a vintage do, dressed as a bloody nurse, with red wig and nurses hat. I actually manned the door, so swanned about turning people away not dressed up nicely enough!

No I didn't. I wanted to, but had a hard day shopping on Saturday, so decided to relax in the evening with food and xfactor!

I wanted to go out, I have a costume and everything from last year. But I spent all weekend and Monday in bed with flu. I felt awful, dizzy, losing my voice, coughing and spluttering everywhere with feverish symptoms to match. The poor bf had travelled down to visit and was itching to go out but resorted to staying in bed to keep me company. He's gone now and I wont see him for 2 weeks so I feel even more pathetic :-(

ChocJo, the party sounds good, maybe next year I will be brave enough to open my house up for halloween and host a party.

Nope - I was a bit previous and went to a fireworks display instead. Brilliant funfare too, can't beat the dodgems after a couple of pints

Enjoyed seeing people coming home from halloween parties on the buses, all dressed up but alone. No one batted an eyelid - perhaps no-one noticed the difference in London...!

What did you get up to Rain?x

I didn't dress up (/partypooper) but I saw some fab costumes. There was this really brave chap in a skintight silver alien costume. And a devil satyr chappy who had these red goaty legs and all red body paint he looked fab.

I prefer silly/impressive costumes to sexy ones

Yes I really turned people away. We were basically sold out, but could allow a few extras in, provided they looked the part.

Everyone there had made loads of effort and are very glam, and we had a high end drinks brand there, deciding whether they will sponsor the night - so we were setting a tone.

Power.

I went out with a friend, I was a zombie (fake blood took ages to come off!) and my friend was Dame Edna.

The night was actually pretty rubbish, because in the club there seemed to be a fight every 5 minutes and there weren't that many people dressed up, just the usual...stick on a tarty dress and cat ears. Didn't really match up to last year. I'm with you Ange, I like people who make an effort not caring if they look ridiculous.

Your night sounds so glam chocjo!
