I frightened myself half to death today

Today, while on a trip to a place with a lot of roundabouts, where I had a job interview, I aquaplaned in my car. On the approach to a roundabout. I had absolutely no control whatsoever, and I was only able to stop because my car hit a traffic island before the roundabout. The engine conked out completely and when I got to my interview I was frazzled. Luckily, not mangled and my car hasn't got a mark on it. The tyre is dirty where it hit the kerb. HOW?!!!! Then I almost did it again on the M6, but I defeated that puddle. Damn the rain! Thought I'd share as I bet there was at least one other Handbagger in the north driving in the monsoon today. I didn't see any shiny lights even though it was a near death experience. |

Oh Witchy, you poor thing...sounds very scary. I would have been terrified. Glad you're ok though, and be good to yourslef this evening...a few treats are in order I think x Oh, and hope interview went well?! "and that's all i have to say about that..." |

Thanks chaps. Well, I think it was one of the worst interviews I have ever done, except that they asked me back for a second one where I have to do technical stuff, so I can't have been that bad! I always manage to get to an interview with my hair looking like I put my fingers in an electrical socket too, and this was no different! Ah well, silly hair plus air of slight panic = scientist I suppose. As for treats, Satsuma, I ate half a family bar of minty Aero while watching the telly and it did the trick! On the down side I am now convinced my car is a bit broken. |

Hope you're feeling better about it today and well done on the second interview! If you're worried about your car, I think it's best to err on the side of caution of get it checked out to put your mind to rest. |
