I hate coming into work and having to have an argument with someone BEFORE I've even stepped in the office!!

We have a  car park at the back of the offices and  my allocated space is at the far  end needs to be reversed into otherwise I can't get out of the drivers door.  There is a  pre-school directly opposite the entrance to our car park and the Mums drop off their kids and park wherever they feel like even though it's a "no parking" zone.

Now, the majority of times, when I pull up whoever is blocking my access, generally reverses out of the way when asked ... but this morning the woman not only point blank refused, but got out of the car and started screaming at me that I do this every day  blah blah ... so I marched into the Playschool ... asked for the Manager to get the offensive lady to move.

Still she  wouldn't move and started screaming and banging on about why should she have to move for me ... every day I ask the mothers to move and "apparently" I'm out of order!!!!!!  So I simply said .. well if you don't move your car and this continues then I will have no choice but to contact the Council .. you (and others who park there every morning)  are blocking  the access to a car park, you are illegally parked and I'm fed up having to start work after having a row with someone who is clearly in the WRONG! By now the queue of cars behind me were peeping and irritated.

So she moves, I park and the Manager says ... THIS TIME she will  put a note in her newsletter advising mums not to obstruct the car park ...  which is all well and good, but I've been in my job for nearly 13 years and nothings changes, regardless of how many times the mums are *ahem* advised.  I simply don't need this hassle before I start work when I'm totally in the right to ask them to move *sigh*

So now, I'm sat at my desk wound up and  pissed off and it's barely 10 am ........ARRRRGGGHH!!!!

Sounds as though she was completely in the wrong, sorry to hear that your morning got off to a bad start, I would have done exactly the same and think you handled it very well! Have a cup of tea and a biscuit to calm yourself down and fingers crossed the rest of the day goes more smoothly.

That sounds awful, why are they been pissy about been told not to block the car parking spaces. they are ILLEGALLY parked, they have no write to complain. Plus it puts you in a bad mood for the day.

Personally I could have a thread based purely on motorists that annoy me, lol.  Yesterday stuck behind a an old man doing 30 in a 60, then not moving when the lights turned green.

What a cow!

I used to live around the corner from a primary school and the parking at drop off and pick up times beggared belief at times, they generally all had mahoosive off-roading jeeps and would park them bumper to bumper, diagonally, in bushes, across driveways, upside down, that kind of thing. Was maze trying to get into the flat!

It's exactly the same at the school up the road from me, even worse now they've narrowed a part of the road down so its one way so everyone's trying squeeze in and around and up people's driveways, I don't even drive but get serious passenger rage.

On the way to work though I walk, and every sodding morning about 40 cars don't indicate when turning into Tescos and I'm left standing there like a wally in the wind and rain...I could have crossed the road 20 minutes ago you bumholes! See, I even get pedestrian rage.

Key their cars next time or lie in wait with those spikey things that police roll out to catch mental drivers.

Interestingly, when I pulled up today the Manager was out on patrol and the offensive woman  had her car parked this time and spent the time it took me to park up, giving me evils ...*sigh*

It's funny how things really irritate us..... one thing that really gets my goat is when you're queuing in the supermarket with say, 10 things and someone comes up to you and insists they go in front with their 7 things ARGH!!!

My mate actually refused to let a  lady ahead of her saying what makes you think I'm in any less of a  hurry than  you are?  After my mate had paid for her items  and was walking out the shop ... the women who had been behind her dashed up, grabbed her and started having a  go saying  my mate  was a  selfish bitch and how dare she treat this her (throwing in the race card) like that ... my mate was completely shocked,  security were called ... it was horrid!

It's people themselves - they are just so horrid and nasty and it shocks me just how aggresive we are as a nation now. Or is that me getting old and grumpy??!!

I just think people don't care and don't have manners like they used to, I drive past a school every morning and people just walk in front of me (even though the crossing us just up the road!) I let them cross because they have kids with them and then they don't thank me!!!  The best one is when I went on a school visit, at that time when the kids get picked up and used my pass to get in through the gates and a mum tried to follow me in and the security guard came out and told her to leave the car park and I heard her say 'but that lady....' and he said, she's a member of staff.  I smiled at her and walked into the school :)

Do people usually let people in front of them then? I'd never do it. I might offer if I had a lot of things and someone only had a few, but I doubt I'd do it if they asked.  But from this it appears the norm that someone allows someone else in front of them.
