Hi everyone,

I'm going camping in Croatia for a week at the start of August when it's going to be incredibly hot. Does anyone have any advice on what kind of clothes/hair accessories I can take with me to keep cool but look nice at the same time? Any tips would be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hiya...I love camping!

I went camping in Amsterdam not so long ago when it was pretty warm

The clothes I took were combats, hoodie and trainers for when it was not so good weather and when it got chilly at night, shorts and strappy tops/tshirt tops for day time cos we went cycling etc, and then for night time, I took strapless dresses that I wore with gold gladiator style sandals, a cardi and then of course necklace, earrings etc.  I also think that a flower in beach style wavy hair looks good for going out or for day time, and obviously you want a swimsuit or bikini of some kind....

I also think something to snuggle up in at night in your sleeping bag is a good idea, cos the temperature can drop a lot...something like pjamas or even a hoodie and jogging bottoms...

Hope this helps....

Have fun

xxx

wineplz has posted some great ideas there!. I've not much to add except take some midgie repellant, plenty sunscreen and a nice floppy hat with you as you'll be outside a lot - tents get awfully hot inside in the daytime even with the flaps open.

strappy tops and a kaftan type thing, a nice bikini set and a pair of combats that can be rolled up at the leg and some cute denim shorts should get you by. and a nice hoodie to throw on if the evenings are chilly. think festival fashion for accessories and hair, a couple of hair bands, flower clips and a bottle of dry shampoo should get you by  - pleats, buns and braids are fashioney, fun and easy to do without a mirror and hairdryer on hand. plenty of wetwipes and something like a bright lipgloss or a stain like benefit posytint and a waterproof mascara should be all the slap you'll need. and take 3 pairs of shoes - something light and sturdy for lots of walking like some canvas plimsolls, a pair of flat sparkly glads for evening glamour and a pair of cropped fun wellies or (I hate them but they're waterproof) crocs.

enjoy glamping.

Another brilliant post, thanks. I've never really done the camping thing before and was a bit worried, but seeing that other people have obviously enjoyed it in the past is making me quite excited. I'm aiming to pack as light as possible. It'll be a challenge but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Thanks!
