In Response to Re: Sure, feel free to comment on my size...: I make comments on people's belly (if I know them) and I hope I've never upset anyone by accident!I do stop myself touching them, even though I always desperately want to. I find pregnant bellies so amazing, and my hormones always react in a way that make me want to stroke it! I always mean with it love though! Posted by chocolatejo You are soo lovely Jo you wouldnt upset anyone, you commented on my bump but you did it in a interested and fascinated way which felt nice. I wish more people would have been like you!!! Now people tell me how big my baby is for her age instead of commenting on me! Jeremy Osborne: Stop pissing on my bonfire. Mark Corrigan: There is no bonfire! Jeremy Osborne: That's because you keep pissing on it! I hate the new bag !! |

In Response to Re: Sure, feel free to comment on my size...: Why do people lose tact when it comes to pregnancy though?... It's like they just see you as a baby-making machine or something! I mean, pregnant women do have feelings.. I try to be careful when talking to pregnant women; the most I tend to venture is 'When's it due?', 'Do you know the sex yet?', or 'Have you thought of any names?'; I'd never go 'Oh my god, you're massive, are you expecting triplets?!' (lol) I think the tact thing follows right through pregnancy and into parenthood though if you ask me; people seem to feel they have the right to comment on others decisions when it comes to pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, co-sleeping etc even if their opinion has not been asked for. This is even more the case for people who are already parents too IMO. Posted by barbie86 So true! |

I would have loved nice comments about my bump (there were a few!) but most comments werent nice. A pregnant friend of mine was told her face had filled out when she was 9 months pregnant, there is no need for that, its just plain tactless. When people commented on my bump it usually went like this, how long have you got to go? followed by, wow you are massive. Again just tactless. Thinking about it I think the people that make the horrible stupid comments are jealous and a bit bitter!! Jeremy Osborne: Stop pissing on my bonfire. Mark Corrigan: There is no bonfire! Jeremy Osborne: That's because you keep pissing on it! I hate the new bag !! |
