and so the wait for the 12.30pm WI continues...I hope I've lost more than 0.5lb this week, kept away from alcohol and pasta as well come to think of it this week. Been a few points under each day so just waiting to see what the WW gods have to say later!

Good luck *WD* as well today, let us know how you got on =)

Good luck for today both of you.

My weekend wasn't very virtuous either, got completely led astray by the food and drink baggers on Saturday, was a fantastic meal though.  So back on track from today.

breakfast I only had an actimel as need to go shopping.

Lunch I'm having wholemeal pitta bread 2 points, crispy parma ham 1.5 points, low fat red pepper houmous 2 points and peppers and spinach

Dinner - my version of prawn pad thai noodles 6 points.

Just about to plan out meals for the rest of the week so I can get the right stuff in and wont be tempted by other things, neither will I have any excuses.

Well KB ... the wait is over ... how did you get on??

I'm trying to claw back extra points ... yet again *sigh* although I have done a  lot of exercise this week :-)  I'm trying to have a  virtous day today:

B:  Bran Flakes & Skim milk (2.5)
L:  Home made cauli soup (1) & salad with flaked salmon (2.5)
S:  Starbucks skinny latte (1.5)
A: Sugar free jelly with fruit (0.5)
D: Home made beef curry & rice (7.5)

So that's 15.5 with 3.5 leftover

3.5lbs lost this week!!! The leader got me really excited and told me it was 4lb but just worked it out and its definitely 3.5lb and I'm so frickin' happy

Only 2.5lb to go and then I've reached a stone loss, next week is week 8 so really going to stick to what i have done this week in the hope i get another good result. Down to 14st 10.5lb so hoping to be under 13stone by the end of August, that would be awesome.

Thanks so much everyone for all the encouragement, this week really did feel like a make or break week for me, but I kept going and well, here I am!

Have a lovely day everyone - I've got a huge smile on my face!

KB! Absolutely chuffed for you.  <doing my happy dance>   Below 13 stone by the end of august- definitely, I have confidence in you. I am convinced that staying away from alcohol is a winner.

I have no weigh in this week as my nurse is on holiday and  I don't have scales at home. I don't attend a group , i am purely an 'on line' WW.  So i will have to wait until next Monday afternoon to see how i am doing.  I think i may have lost 1-2 lb this week. so hoping for 4 lb in total next week.

DIA - i think you have a great attitude , you have a good weekend first and watched your diet too. I need to try and do more because i am sort of putting my life on hold while i focus on weight loss. But i will be doing this for a year to get to target so i need to make this the way I eat now, rather than being on a diet.

C'mon Wave Dancer- let us know how you get on.

Everyone, please keep you fluids up in the heat and watch your salt intake.

Cheerio

Thanks guys, still very happy despite the heat - perhaps the heat will impact on the scales next week, it's too hot to eat anything stodgy (i.e. higher in points) and as long as i stay away from a nice cold beer and ice cream things should be good!

I'm intruiged to find out how much of the weight loss was due to cutting out alcohol - when I did drink I always kept within my points allowance, so it's strange if it has made a big impact.

The guy in front of me today had been really unwell all week and had lost a staggering 13lbs in a week - couldn't believe it - almost makes me want to get a nasty chest infection!!

2ltrs of water already drunk already today, phew - it's just getting hotter!

WI this morning .. and woo hoo ..... 2.5lbs off   That's me down 1 stone & 1/2 lb in 9 weeks ... really, really pleased!!!  I was awarded this little stone thingey as a  keepsake lol

I have to say though .. I thinks it's all the exercising that seems to be making the difference.  I'm also getting into the swing of making homemade recipes instead of eating whatever's to hand  and actually quite enjoying it where as previously ... with working I normally get in after 6 and couldn't be bothered to sort out dinner it would just be whatever I could heat up the quickest.

(and I had a  2nd date last night with a guy who is just great with another planned for next Sat and one in between times  *wink*)

All's well in my world today

How's everyone else getting on?

Well Done DIA! <cheering>

I am getting on with recipes too, I love the on line recipe builder. its so easy to point up and apportion the food. My favorites are a lamb and squash curry and a buternut squash soup.
Good news about the chap -there is a bit of motivation, take care not to let boozy nights be your downfall.

I had a night out last night, I saved 4 points from monday, ate really light during the day yesterday and then had what i wanted to eat last night, started with prawns and a chilli dip, dish of olives to share olives and then had a chicken breast burger with chips and a salad. the chips are fat wedges with the skin on. I also had a singapore sling Embarassed Funny thing is I left half of my meal, I just couldnt manage it. I have been to this place and had the chicken burger many times and have always scoffed the lot and then followed with a pudding.  Anyway I pointed it up and that put me 3.5 points over for the week so far. I am going to make that up today and I should be back on track. I am determined to get 4 lbs next week (that wil be for 2 weeks)

See you all later.
