A very disappointing 1/2lb off .. considering all the hard work I put in this week.  I'm hoping it's down to being TOTM.

Still, on the brighter side,  that's 9lbs off in 6 weeks therefore reaching my 5% weight loss goal - so I should be a  tiny bit pleased I guess *sigh*  Now i have to aim for the 10% goal!

How's anyone else getting on?

Hi doitagain, sorry I've been rubbish lately, internet has hardly been switched on!

Very happy with myself this week, I lost 2.5lbs this week, so I've finally hit my half a stone barrier - now 15st 1lb, so I'm hoping next week I'll be under 15st

You seem to be doing fantastically well with your exercise, I'm still being lazy...I have a friends bday bbq on sat so going to try and fill up on salad as opposed to all the other lovely stuff that's going to be there. I've ducked out of the night out to avoid all the alcoholic temptation with the obligatory kebab, so hoping I don't blow my allowance completely out of the water!!

Enjoy your weekend, birthday cake is one of my downfalls!!

*loud round of applause*

WOW that's great KB - really pleased for  you.  It starts to feel worth it when you can say ... I've lost XX amount, don't you think?

I'm finding the exercising is keeping me motivated ... although I did go on the WW online Forum and was advised to eat some of the points I earned whilst exercising otherwise it will have an adverse effect on my weightloss?  Odd, as you would think - Eat less + Exercise more + better weight loss, but apparently it doesn't.  If you exercise more, you need to consume more otherwise your body stores more .... strange eh?

I'm sure you'll get through your weekend ... I had my daughters birthday  BBQ at the weekend WITH cake and just thought if I go over today, tomorrow I will compensate :-)  No need to deprive yourself otherwise ... what's the point lol

Thanks doitagain, we are both doing great and on track for a slimmer august

I love being able to say that I've lost half a stone (sounds so much better than 7lbs!!) and it might just be my imagination but I think my thighs have slimmed down.
I bought the WW essential pack when I joined but I was too embarassed to measure myself after being weighed even though I was at home, wishing I had now as I recon there would have been a difference. I'm going to try and finally get around to it in the next few days and see if the next few weigh in's effect it.

I worked out that if I continue at the pace (half a stone a month) then by Dec/Jan time I'll be slim again. It one respect it sounds like a long way off but I guess it took a good 2-3yrs to creep on so a few months isn't too bad!

I've realised that when it comes to exercise, I'm lazy. I just can't seem to find the endorphin rush that everyone talks about - all I feel is sweaty and knackered. I don't suppose shift work helps matters but nothing apart from swimming really interests me and whilst I'm still this heavy, a trip to the local pool is a way away but that's my aim in a stone's time to get swimming.

I've always been one to love exercise once I get into the swing of it (think it goes back to my old army days).

It's interesting though ... this is the most motivated I have ever felt about dieting and exercise - I don't even feel the urge to cheat (unless I add it to my Points calculation).  I didn't take any measurements either but already I feel my watch is bigger and my fingers must be losing it too as my rings are a bit looser.  AND someone noticed the other day enough to mention it woo hoo

Give it 2 months and we will be a  lot slimmer :-)  At Xmas - we'll be into all the party dresses we can handle rather than having to choose the only ONE that fits!

Have a  good weekend, will keep my fingers crossed  on Monday for you.

Xmas dresses are already getting me excited...I'm hoping that the shiny, Satin dresses won't send me running for the hills this year!!  Never been a dress kind of girl but this year I think I may be able to make an exception =)

I'm quite chuffed with myself this evening, cooked my dinner and halfway through realised I was full and so threw the rest away. Sounds stupid now I've written it but I used to eat and eat until I felt fit to burst purely because it was in front of me - parents have a lot to answer for getting kids to 'eat everything on your plate' I've never got out of that mentality - until today it would seem!!!

Well done you, compliments are great especially after all your hard work, you must be buzzing =) I'm still waiting for someone (other than my partner who is obligated to congratulate me!) to notice, a lady at work looked surprised when I said I had lost half a stone...so I'm going to stop mentioning it for a while and see what happens.

Have a great weekend, hoping for lots of sunshine!

Only 1/2 a pound off this week, didn't think I had done badly this week but trying to rationalise it 2/5lbs off last week so technically if I look at it as 3lbs in 2 weeks its not bad...haha any excuse!!

Going to track like a women possessed this week though, to ensure that I'm not 'missing' points out in my tracking and see what happens. I have to split my meetings between lunchtime and evening ones depending on my shift pattern - it seems that every lunchtime meeting I go to I hardly lose anything but the evening sessions I end up losing 2-3lbs a week, strange as they use the same scales but they are in different positions....hmm now I really am clutching at straws!

How was your weekend doitagain?

Hi KB ... 1/2lb is STILL 1/2lb off :-)  so you can give yourself a pat on the back.  Remember last week - I worked out like a good 'un and tracked everything  and only managed a 1/2lb off.

I had a bit of a  tricky weekend as I was out on the razz with my mate and knew there would be a  buffet ... and cider is high in points but I just chilled and enjoyed the evening rather than worry.  Sunday was crazy .. I ended up persuading my mate to clear her garden and cutting everything took 5 hours .. I was knackered lol ate really badly through the day, a  bacon sandwich, 5 packets of fun sized maltesers and then we made scones as  a treat for her girls and we ate them with cream and jam etc .... (I justified it all with the hard work I had done).  Had a sneaky look at the scales at home (which I try not to do) and it's looking like I'm on track to lose 2lbs this week .. but sometimes the WW scales measure differently - so we will see.

Good on you for throwing some food away - I used to be the same eating everything in front of me .. I've gotten around that by making up the meal and when I dish up .. anything spare goes in tupperware and frozen for another day ... seems to be working so far, plus there are days when I know exactly what I'll be eating as I only re-heat ... perfect :-)

Fingers crossed for tomorrow  - will let you know how I get on :-)

Hello Kitty boo and Doitagain.

I have been reading what you both say and think I am in a similar boat. I have been sticking to WW for 3 weeks but the weight loss is really slow  just 7lbs and I have a lot to loose. Frown today is the end of my 4th week and I don't feel as if I have lost anything. I don't have scales at home so i will have to wait and see how I get on later.

If its ok with you I will pop back and see how you are getting on.
Cherrio :o)

Goal - to loose 35lb by 31/8/09
22lb so far.

Right I'm hauling myself back on the ww wagon as I've hit 11st again.  Originally started off at 11st11, got down to 10st5 about 18 months ago, my back flared up, I stopped exercising and the weight crept back on, started back in January and lost about 7lbs, stopped going to meetings and have now hit 11st again.

You are both doing really well, and Damanda 7lbs in 4 weeks is good, it's 1 3/4lbs a week which is perfect, you should aim for an average of 1-2lbs a week anymore and it's not necesarily fat that you are losing.

Have just been planning my meals for the week and am about to walk to the shop to stock up.

So today -
B - yogurt 2.5
L - fennel & tomato soup 0 points, pancetta 3 points, bread 2 points
D - Chicken breast 3 points, salad 0 points, dressing 1 point, pitta bread 2 points
milk and sugar 2 points

So that's 15.5 points so far, I'm on 20 a day.
