I seem to be in a strange place in my head this week, I'm working out like the worlds gonna end or something!....I guess I will be heading for aslump towards the end of the week and won't be able to move for muscle stiffness....does anyone get that sometimes when you know you've done enough, but you just can't stop? for whatever reason?

Hey Chablis, Mr B has been in this sort of mood for the last couple of days and has been a bit stressed about work and what-not, but he's been hitting the gym and various other forms of exercise like mad this past week, I think exercise can be a real stress buster which is probably why he's doing so much of it, I just hope you both don'y over do it. :)

Anyhow, I had another good CV session at my new gym last night, I felt like I could run forever! I haven't got to grips with the resistance machines at the new gym yet and am reluctant to use them until I know exactly what I'm doing as I don't want to injure myself or look like a pleb trying to work them out and probably get it wrong, but I've got my proper induction on Thursday in order for me to get a new routine, so after that I will be back on the weights with a vengeance!!

Morning all!
Brought my bike back from my parents' house so cycled to work for the 1st time today - it's so much fun! I have the brightest neon yellow jkt and legwarmers (yeh:cool:), my colleagues had a good old laugh when I got in!
It took 20 mins so that means I'll be doing 40 mins on the bike each day.

No gym today due to absolute laziness. However I rode for an hour tonight and am planning to do the 10 mile cycle to work tomorrow plus gym. :)

Good morning all,

Had a major work out last night...hard weights session and managed to up a weight on my biceps but only for one set, then had to go back to what I was before, why is it so hard to move up...anyhow, did HITT afterwards, which I'm not really supposed to be doing but I've still got head stuff going on so am doing a bit of superwoman at the mo......

The gym was berluddy packed last night, I think there are lots of new people in..I had a machine right in front of one of the screens which shows videos of lots of tall slim beautiful women dancing in vey little clothing and writing coming up at the bottom asking if you're working hard enough blah blah,,ya know gym stuff.....I was trying really hard not to look at it cos it made me feel like SHREK!!!!!!!....I could be in the f....ng gym for for a year and day and still not look like one of them.....pah!...(sorry for swear)....

anyhow, I digress...sorry for that, I deem to do it naturally.......I worked hard...today I am doing a DVD at home cos I'm off work so taking it easy.....

Have a great day all, and thanks and thanks again for all these posts...I love 'em, they really help me to keep going......luv ya luv ya luv ya.....x

I had a mediocre session in the gym last night, I decided to bite the bullet and try and find/workout how to use the resistance machines at my new gym, it's all a bit of a maze as it's all so new, but located the ones I'm used (some of them look so complicated and I wouldn't have the first clue what to do with them without being shown) and gave it my best, then ran on the treadmill for 15 mins and did interval training on the bike for 10 mins before being picked up.

I can't wait for my proper induction tomorrow to boost my confidence with all this new equipment!

Once you get going and have been a couple of times you'll feel better about it, I only joined in November time I think and now I feel right at home with all the stuff, although i use mainly free weights, but a couple of the machines.....actually the lateral press(?) one is so high up I have to jump up on the stool, catch the bars then swing down like a flipping monkey! that's before I can even start...hahahha....but I love going to the gym soooo much, it's been a long time coming and it's great......I hope you enjoy it as much as I do....ok, perhaps not quite as much, but ya know normal like.....:D ....good luck..
