Had to cancel my first session with the PT today due to my son being ill, but Mr PBJ will be home after 2 so it'll be a run round the park instead.

Well done everyone who has started exercising so far! also Hello  and Happy New Year!

I have kept up with my classes a little (roughly 3-4 classes a week) over the break but compared to what I have eaten it is a poor effort.

I am at Combat tomorrow then I have my full 7 classes booked for next week. After the chilled break I have had I expect it will be a shock the system on top of being back to work :boohoo: HELP!!!

First outdoor run in at least 6 months if not more! :cmdunno: I found it difficult as it was so cold outside and my ipod kept messing me about :( Anyway, I did just over 30 minutes and at my natural pace of around a 12 minute mile, which is faster than I've been doing on the treadmill.

At least I have a new starting point to build on now!

Went for a run this morning but I was utterly freezing and had to come in after a couple of miles as my fingers were actually hurting bad...right on the ends......finished on the treadmill, did a circuit class (first one ever, just to see if it was anyo good) and then went for a steam room thing, which was fantastic, I was the only one there cos it was soooo early in the morning and it was lovely and hot and relaxing...brilliant..

Tomorrow night got boxing class which I am dreading as the blokey who does it is a total beast!.....why go you may ask?..the high when he's finished wiping wthe floor with us all is worth it...ha ha...glutton for punishment, that's me......regards to all.x

bloody scared the beejezus out of myself today, I know people say it's good to push your boundaries, but today was taking teh proverbial. I still dont think the adrenalin rush has settled yet. I actually ended up hyperventillating with fear, my whole body shaking and my heart racing so fast my chest hurt for ages afterwards.

I went for what should have been a fairly easy hill walk, about 8 miles or so up a valley. it involved a scramble down a few scree slopes and some shinning up iced waterfalls to start with, then it got really hairy!, a sheer, incredibly steep, loose scree climb up an almost vertical valley wall, with no proper equipment, no rope, axes or safety gear and as it got higher, the scree got looser and the handholds dissapeared to be replaced with sheet ice. I was absofeckinglutely terrified, but at a hundred feet up or so had passed the point of no return - it was climb or fall to almost certain *injuries* below. A few times the surface gave way starting minor landslips and leaving me clinging on to an almost smooth surface like spiderwoman. Now I know what real adrenalin is like. It was a really stupid thing to do now in those conditions looking back at it, but at least I made it to the top even though I froze a few times with fear and exhaustion as I'm not a natural climber and it was a long long way up from the valley floor, a good few hundred feet or so I'd say. Thankfully for my poor heart it was a fairly easy walk back down via an old sheep track. Will post some pics on my photo thread later. :cmeek:

:faint: :cmdunno: my god Juggler; I'm so glad you're ok. Beautiful dangerous country! I look forward to seeing your pictures. I know from limited experience that planned walks can change quickly as the terrain seems to do a shape-shift.
