who also died yesterday aged 62  ....an icon from the 70's .. for those of us who remember her in Charlie's Angels.

A very sad day and who  never got chance to re-marry the love of her life Ryan O'Neal, who recently asked her to marry him again.

Just thought I'd mention it since it's been eclipsed by the also very sad death of Micheal Jackson

May they both RIP

Good thread DIA. I saw this on the news laast night, and was very admiring of how she'd documented her struggle against cancer.

RIP Farah.

Was also going to post about Farrah Fawcett this morning.

While the Michael Jackson news has a more 'surreal' edge to it, I've been genuinely saddened by Farrah Fawcett's death from such a tragic disease.  The fact that herself and Ryan O'Neill were planning to exchange vows next week after over 20 years together, but never got to do it, is truly heartbreaking.

RIP.

I'd have to agree with this. The loss of Michael Jackson is still quite surreal - as you have put it. But the loss of Farrah I think is extremely sad.

Rest in Peace, Farrah. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Rest In Peace Farrah!
It was so sad you and Ryan never got to marry.
My sister and I used to copy your hairstyle as teenagers.
You were a lovely looking lady.
Cancer is such a terrible illness.
At least you won't suffer anymore. GOD BLESS!

I agree - she bought colour into the seventies which were pretty grey in the UK (please see my blog on friday). And charlies angels was all about women being both glamorous and effective! This cancer is one of the worst and the only good thing is she is out of all the pain and suffering...

I used to watch re-runs of Charlie's Angels in the school summer holidays.  I always loved Farrah's hair.  RIP
