I have had hair extensions in for about 4 months now (i have had some out and new ones put in).

Whenever i come out of the salon after a cut and blow dry it is always really flat and smooth and feels really good condition. My hair is very thick.

Whenever I have washed it myself i dry it and straighten it like she does at the salon but as soon as i start to go about my business i find that it clumps up and gets tangled. Why does this happen?? I do the same things that she does in the salon!! Even using the same shampoo!

What can i do to prevent it? I culred it before i went out the other night and it looked stunning until about an hour later when it turned into a huge lump of matted hair! :(

When I had mine in, I used to swear by Schwarzkopf Bonacure moisture deep conditioning treatment. When I used this, they never tangled. Also, make sure you use LOADS of serum. HTH!

I would definately invest in a tangle teezer, i have just bought one and i am so pleased with it! i dont have glued in hair extensions but i wear clip ins alot and they get very tangly but tangle teezer brushes them out in a breeze. It is highly recommended for people with hair extensions.

Tangle Teezer - Dramatically reduce hair breakage, splitting, and damage due to mistreatment of your hair

I use Samy (from superdrug.) I put a bit in whilst wet and then once it's dry and styled go over the ends and mid lengths to smooth it down.

Getting a tangle teaser should definitely help. I'd find a website with product reviews as well.
