Ok a few week ago i dyed my brown hair to a bright blonde with a XXL live home dye, but i dont like it anymore i'm having my hair cut for my holiday in a few weeks and afterwards was wanting to dye my hair back to brown with XXL Live bittersweet chocolate.

My best mate and a few others have said that my hair will go ginger if i try redying it back brown and then a few others have said that it wont and that there only saying it to keep my hair blonde as they prefer me blonde.

Is this true??

Hi! my hair when I have dyed it from blonde to brown has gone green! I think its more likely to go ginger when putting blonde over brown because alot of shop dye's the bleach isn't strong enough to get the brown to blonde. Your best bet if you hate it is to go the hairdressers and see what they suggest. Even wash in wash out dyes have made my hair green, so it really is worth calling a hairdressers up.

If you dye it brown it can fade and lift to a ginger tone if you use a warm toned brown but if you use a cool ash tone brown it can go green, the only way you will find out is to stick it on and see what happens, but personally I would go to the hairdressers and get them to dye it back to brown as it's the safest option.

I'd stick a warm toned semi on it, and it should be fine.

make sure you use some intensive treatments on it to help minimise the damage.
