Pay attention bargain hunters - American brand J.Crew is getting set to open a cheaper sister label for all your smart-preppy needs.
The fashion company is planning to open a new, more budget-conscious chain called J.Crew Mercantile, which will feature J.Crew style pieces with prices closer to what shoppers would find at their J. Crew Factory, the retailer's outlet stores.
But it's not just an online bargain bin - oh no - because J.Crew have revealed that it will be its own brand with its own full-price merchandise and discounts.
As yet, plans haven't been finalised as to when this new online shop might launch, but it's definitely going forward as the company have already trademarked the name in the US.
They've not mentioned whether or not it will be opening in the UK either but we're living in hope...
In the meantime, we're at the ready to grab those reasonably priced offerings when they do eventually open a branch closer to home.
