Victoria Beckham becoming a fashion designer? We saw it coming. The Olsen twins? Same. But Cameron Diaz designing handbags for luxury brand Pour La Victoire?
It's an unexpected twist in the actresses career for sure. But nevertheless, we're pretty excited about Cameron Diaz taking on the role of artistic director at the New York label.
Makers of luxury Parisian inspired shoes and handbags, PLV has today announced Cameron as its creative lead, along with news that she's also bought an 'undisclosed' stake in the brand as a whole.
So is Cameron about to take over the handbag market? Should VB and the Olsens be quaking in their spiked stilettos?
Talking to WWD Cameron said, "I can't speak about anyone else's work ethic [but], I know how I work and I know when something is important to me.
"I'll try my best and hope for the best. Not everyone succeeds or fails all the time. All I can do is engage with it."
Hmm, quiet confidence? Or fears that she might replicate Sarah Jessica Parker's stint at Halston?
Oh, you didn't hear about that? Probably for the best...
