Well here's some news we weren't expecting to write today. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been convicted of tax evasion and sentenced to jail by a Milan court.
The designer duo were found guilty today (Wednesday 19) of failing to declare 1 billion euros ($1.3 billion) in income to authorities.
Fresh from partying with Kylie Minogie in London this week, both Dolce and Gabbana have been sentenced to one year and eight months in jail.
Crikey, we really didn't see this coming. Although the six year investigation by the Italian authorities may have been a slight hint…
Prosecutors have said to have argued that the pair evaded taxes on income of 416 million euros each and 200 million euros through a Luxembourg-based company.
The designers were not present at the trial yesterday, deny all charges and are thought to be likely to appeal the judgement.
So there could be a little while before we know if the pair will actually end up in jail or not.
