Between his own brands, Louis Vuitton and jet-set lifestyle, Marc Jacobs has a lot on his plate. So he's decided to hand over the creative lead of Marc by Marc Jacobs to Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley.
Though Marc will still be the official bossman, accessories designer Katie Hillier will oversee the label's womenswear collections as Creative Director, while Luella looks after women's ready-to-wear as Design Director.
Now while this is all very surprising, exciting and a myriad of other things, it's what happens next to the handbag collections that we're really looking forward to.
While Katie helped launch the Victoria Beckham handbag collection, Luella (yes of THE Luella label which sadly folded in 2009) is credited with reviving Mulberry after collaborating on the Gisele bag.
Named after model Gisele Bundchen the bag was a spectacular hit, and even paved the way for the brand's Alexa satchel and most recent Del Rey.
So what do you think of these ladies hooking up with Marc Jacobs? Excited?
Here's a little look at Marc's SS13 bag collection, while we all wait patiently for this trio to crack on...
