Lady Gaga will grace the cover of American Vogue for the second time after landing the coveted September issue.
True to her unpredictable form, Gaga leaked the hotly anticipated pics, tweeting: 'Sorry Anna but the underground kids deserve it.'
Sheesh, it takes a brave lady to risk upsetting US Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. Although we have a sneaking suspicion it wasn't a completely spur-of-the-moment post...
The striking cover shot sees the songstress wearing an electric purple Marc Jacobs gown from the AW12 collection, as styled by Grace Coddington.
Exaggerated shapes create the main focus while a dramatic fishtail skirt ensures her signature edge is still present.
A larger-than-life agro meanwhile makes Gaga almost unrecognisable, and even more like a super-glamorous sweet wrapper. Her violet tinged make-up pulls the whole look together beautifully.
The September issue of American Vogue is on sale from August 14.
So it's not a look we'd go for to pop to the shops, but we think Gaga looks pretty incredible here - do you agree?
