Kate Middleton was in West Tanfield in Yorkshire yesterday to ceremoniously open the start of the Tour de France.

Flanked by two princes, William and Harry, Kate cut the ribbon in her emerald green coat.

As such a big fan of British design houses, we were surprised to see the duchess sporting an Erdem number.

With so many British riders lining up, we reckon she should have gone local.

Although, perhaps it was a nod to the French cycling race in general.

The trio watched on as Mark Cavendish took a tumble, sustaining a dislocated shoulder.
