As Kate Middleton, Prince William and baby George arrived in Australia for the next 10-day leg of their Royal tour this morning, the Duchess' choice of dress appears to have ruffled some Aussie fashion feathers.
Having apparently been told that Kate would be showing her support for the country's style scene by wearing an Australian designer, fashion critics were surprised to see Kate stepping off the plane in a canary yellow column dress, by London Fashion Week designer Roksanda Ilincic.
Australian Vogue has leapt to Kate's defence however, reporting, "The Duchess's choice of wearing Roksanda Ilincic, the London-based Serbian designer, surprised some who expected she would wear an Australian designer for her first appearance on this Royal Tour.
"However, the official word is that she chose gold for Australia."
What do you think? Should Kate have chosen to wear an Aussie creation instead?
