A new digital initiative will take online shopping into the real world, as embedded chips containing the product information means anyone with the app can pick up the info and instantly purchase someone else's outfit.
However the chip has another use as soon everyone will know where your handbag really came from, meaning you'll be able to tell if that Chanel bag is actually a fake.
The idea comes from Awear Solutions and although it probably won't be available until 2015, it has already been tested out by DKNY, reports Fashionista
The system will take the next leap from crowd-sourced shopping sites like The Hunt, where users post photos of clothes they want, and other users help them track it down.
