But finding one you like can be a bit tricky (great bag, crappy slogan, you know the drill), so why not get crafty and make your own?
Here is a super easy tutorial courtesy of Dorothy Perkins as part of their #GOINGOUTOUT AW14 accessories campaign. Seriously, it took us all of 10 minutes.
What you'll need to customise your clutch
- A simple white or black clutch bag with a smooth surface. Ours was provided by Dorothy Perkins, but you can find them anywhere
- Craft PVA glue
- A glass
- A sponge
- Felt letters (we picked white on white, but have a play around)
- Kitchen roll for dabbing
Step 1: Arranging the letters
Pick what slogan you want to go on the bag (we shamelessly googled fashion tips for this 50cent-tastic quote).
Then, arrange the letters to make sure you have enough room and it looks nice.
Step 2: Gluing the letters
Pour a bit of glue into a glass, and dip your sponge in it.
Dab away the excess glue on the kitchen roll, and apply over the surface of the back of the letter.
Then, press the letter down firmly onto the bag for a few seconds. Repeat until done.
Step 3: Enjoy the bag
And you're done, simple as that! Accessorise with your favourite little white dress for a summer party.
