The cover of US Vogue has long been reserved for supermodels and Hollywood A-listers. Super skinny ones at that, who spend their lives in designer dresses, and know how to strike a serious 'pose'. Cue Girls star Lena Dunham with a pigeon on her head.

The cover star of Anna Wintour's February 2014 issue, Lena's taken the traditional Vogue formula and turned it upside down.

Not only is she pulling a funny face on the front of the fashion bible, she's also not pandying to the typical Vogue shoot poses.

In her glossy spread, we see Lena pouting in a few gorgeous frock yes, but we also see her standing with a bird on her head, getting those tattoos out, and hitching a shoulder ride from co-star Adam Driver. In really fluffy slippers.
