While models were made-up by MAC to resemble Elizabethan portraits, and the hair crimped to reflect the romance of the period, Marios' designs focused on shape structure and detailing.
In same way calligrams are arranged to portray a visual image, Marios' AW13 clothes have been crafted to echo the feminine frame.
Playing with proportion, high necklines accompanied short hemlines, capes and draped coats framed fitted frocks, while long sweeping dresses had an ethereal sheerness.
The pièce de résistance of the whole show however, came with the sheer white dress destined for the red carpet.
Embellished with geometrically aligned Swarovski crystals to emphasise the bust and shape of the body, the look was sexy and seductive, yet still somewhat princessy.
