Getting your wardrobe right at work is important - like it or not, you're being judged on your appearance everyday. So here's how to dress for spring and summer, while still looking professional.

Sleeveless shift dresses are perfect

Sleeveless shift dresses are brilliant, they let your arms breath, they avoid the whole sweat patch situation, and the shape is sophisticated. Keep it to just above the knee for a perfect length.

A-line skirts are on trend

Wide and floaty A-line midi skirts are everywhere right now, and perfect for updating your work wardrobe. Team it with a light blouse or tee, and there you have a feminine yet summery look.

Try wearing long city shorts

Though shorts aren't typically officewear, a pair of longer city shorts will give you a fashionable edge, while eliminating the whole thigh chaffing thing you sometimes get with skirts.

Don't show off your bra straps

The office isn't a place for bra straps hanging out of your vest, so try sleeveless blouses rather than strappy tops, or invest in a good strapless bra.

Be careful with plunging necklines

Plunging necklines at work can take the attention clean off your skills and abilities. Don't go too low.

Flip flops are a boardroom no-no

Wearing your beach flip flops to work is a big no. If your office is relaxed, try strappy sandals or a smart wedge heel. Otherwise, look for comfy court shoes in nudes or tan brown, to take a break from black.
