Big kids, us? We headed to Disneyland Paris to celebrate in Mickey's Magical Party in style.

Mickey's Magical PartyIn April 2009, Mickey Mouse invited everyone to his year-long celebration, Mickey’s Magical Party at Disneyland Paris, which features new entertainment, a new attraction and special offers all mixed in with a year jam-packed with seasonal events.

Whether you’re seven or 77, guests of all ages can participate in party games at It’s Party Time… With Mickey And Friends where Mickey, Donald, Pluto and Goofy will demonstrate their favourite party songs and moves. We had great fun eating party food and getting our faces painted, although the pictures never made Facebook. If you want to get down with the kids instead, the lovable monster Stitch will be showcasing his favourite dance tunes with It’s Dance Time… In Discoveryland.

Minnie’s party train will be running along Main Street, USA, in the Disneyland park several times a day, giving guests more opportunities to meet ’n’ greet Minnie’s best friends.

If you haven’t had enough of the parades at this point, head over to the Disney Studios where Aladdin will be heading up the Disney Stars ’n’ Cars parade with his own customised vehicle. Pimp My Ride, eat your heart out.

And as if that’s not enough, until the 8 November 2009 kids under seven stay, play and travel on Eurostar for free.

If you want to get away from the party atmosphere, there’s still all of the great things that Disneyland Paris has to offer, including the Tower Of Terror, with a faster than the speed of gravity drop of 13 floors and the new Finding Nemo rollercoaster, called Crush where you ride the East Australian current in a turtle shell. Dude! This had to be my favourite ride, although perhaps take a break after breakfast.

We had a great time when we took up our invite to Mickey’s Magical Party earlier in the year, and embraced the big kids living inside of us. There were face paints galore, and fun had by all.

So why not start planning your trip to Disneyland Paris in 2009? They’ve already got the party covered.
