Introducing BDSM
Bondage is probably the most practised of all fetishes that fall under the BDSM brolly (or Bondage and Discipline, Sadism and Masochism). Lovehoney.co.uk's bondage expert Hella Rouge, describes the act as "a state of subversion - to restrain or to be restrained - using (but not limited to) wrist restraints, ankle restraints, ball gags, blindfolds, handcuffs, rope tying and hoods." It may sound a little scary at first, but in fact there's a lot to be said for the simple act of restraint, and many practitioners see bondage as an art form - albeit a bit more filthy than watercolours. "There is something very sexy about being 'taken' or 'ravished'" says Coco de Mer's Mistress Absolute "And being restrained means your partner can tease and ease and you just have to just lie back and take the pleasure."
