The elegant décor inside matches the beautiful gardens and golf courses outside, and you could quite happily sip a chilled G ‘n T while you and your boyfriend lose yourself in the peaceful and calming, green view. Or you could play a round of golf, which is actually excellent fun! Or you could relax in the Wentworth spa where there’s 25 metre pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, plus huge loungers and big, fluffy towels to add to the pampering.
If you and your partner are fitness freaks, then Wentworth is perfect, not only do you have one of world’s best and most prestigious golf courses at your disposal, you also have a state-of-the-art gym with some really world-class trainers; Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas made use of the facilities in order to get in shape for the last BEP tour. Plus, there are also 13 tennis courts, which naturally, are world-class.
But even if you’re not into sport, nature or relaxing while surrounded by luxury (you’re clearly mad, though), you may prefer just to be a glutton, and if food and drink is your passion then Wentworth is the place to indulge. The cocktail bar is the epitome of chic. Think 1920s white wall friezes and art deco lighting, accompanied by a modern cocktail menu and big, squashy sofas to sink into.
The Wentworth Grill, the very grand restaurant, easily competes with the very best restaurants in London, New York and Paris. And the view overlooking the golf course and grounds is stunning. We certainly didn't realise how beautiful a golf course could be until we sat in the grand dining room, art deco chandeliers and mirrors twinkling in the light, overlooking a serene green golf course edged by trees that were morphing from summer shades to rich autumn hues.
