The Hollywood couple have technically been engaged since 2010, but have said on numerous occasions that they would refrain from getting hitched to show their support for their gay friends.
Obviously he said yes. Well, he actually said '@IMKristenBell Fuck Yes!!!!!!!!!!!', but has since taken down the tweet.

Speaking to CNN last year, the new parents shared their views, 'I don't believe in standing in the way of love, and I want to stand up for that right,' said Bell. 'And that's what it is. If someone wants to commit their life to another person, why would I not bolster that argument?'
'We're not going to have a party when half of our friends ... can't do that thing we're doing,' Shepard agreed in the interview. 'We're not going to ask them to come celebrate a right they don't have. That's just tacky! Forget like anything else, it's like really tacky for us.'
The historic two-part ruling saw the US Supreme Court striking down a part of the Defence of Marriage Act (DOMA) which denied crucial legal rights to married gay couples.
The wide-reaching ruling now means gay couples will have the same rights as heterosexual married couples, and will touch numerous areas of federal law such as tax breaks, immigration, and pensions.
The court also cleared the way for allowing gay marriage in California, the nation's most populous state, by dismissing an appeal to uphold Proposition 8 (a vote which banned gay marriage in California), effectively legalising same-sex marriage in the state.
This means that 13 states now recognise same-sex marriage in America, and 30 percent of the population will now live in jurisdictions where it is legal. It is seen as paving the way for more states to follow suit.
