Everyone knows that having a baby is a huge change for any relationship, so it's not surprising that lots of couples are following the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's lead and taking a 'baby-moon'.
Shortly after the announcement that Kate was expecting a bundle of royal joy, the couple indulged in a little sunshine and quality time on the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique.
Not every couple can visit their own private island, but stats by Sunshine.co.uk prove that Brits are packing their bags and investing in a pre-baby holiday.
According to their research two fifths of new parents are going away and 42% are doing it to spend some quality time together before their baby arrives
Respondents were also asked where they most wanted to go for their 'baby-moon' and the results are surprisingly affordable (well there's nothing like a pregnancy to remind you of the value of money!). In top place was Tenerife followed by Sardinia, the Maldives, Portugal and the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
We recently reviewed a new look package holiday in Tenerife so take a look before you start having wild 'Caribbean paradise' dreams.
