Can I sell my blood?
While you can't usually make money from donating blood
(have a heart will you?) your plasma and platelets are different, meaning there is cash to be found in your veins.
You'll get around £30 for donating your plasma – which takes about 90 minutes and can be done every two days. A bit like blood donating, your blood is removed through a special separator, the plasma is syphoned off and the non-plasmaed blood is put back in your body.
You can also flog your platelets (the bits that clot your blood when you hurt yourself). Cancer and transplant patients
need them to survive. After a screening, the process is the same as selling your plasma and you stand to earn around £40 for two hours.
