Watch the caffeine
Drinking too much coffee
can impair a woman's fertility. Studies suggest that caffeine can prevent an egg from maturing properly, and since a less mature egg may not fertilise, it may affect your chances of getting pregnant.
Drinking more than five cups of coffee a day, the equivalent of about 500 milligrams of caffeine
is associated with lower fertility. Moderate caffeine consumption of 200-250 milligrams per day is acceptable. To manage your caffeine intake, remember that it can be found in other sources, including tea, soft drinks, energy drinks, chocolate
, and coffee ice cream.
