Grace Kelly's wedding dress
Rumoured to have inspired the wedding dress of none other than Kate Middleton, there is no doubt that Grace Kelly's wedding dress, worn at her marriage to Prince Rainer III of Monaco on 19 April 1956 is one of the most iconic, elegant and well-remembered dresses of all time.
Designed by Helen Rose of MGM, the dress consisted of an intricate lace bodice embroidered with seed pearls, a full skirt of ivory peau de soie and a train of almost a metre which was described as "flowing like a river of whipped cream among the plush red floor."
