SAGITTARIUS: 22 November – 20 December
What will 2009 have in store for Sagittarius?
By Shelley von Strunckel
Finance Work and Achievements
Being a resilient, inquisitive Sagittarius, you'll find that the changeable situations you're dealing with during all of 2009, may be somewhat of a challenge. But they'll also focus your mind and get you thinking about situations you've either ignored or which hadn't crossed your mind. However, those around you won't be as enthusiastic. In fact, your major difficulty, during most of the year, could be keeping the anxieties of others at bay, particularly while you explore the intriguing options that come your way. Eventually you'll need their support. But you're also aware that it's too early to make plans or commit. What's more, with the planet of focus and power struggles, Pluto, just having left your sign - after an extremely long stay of over a decade in Sagittarius - you'll discover there are new options available to you, many of which were unobtainable only a short while ago. Here, too, life is about exploration, not about finalising anything. As you explore, however, consider carefully the practical and financial implications of which you get involved in, and not only will you be able to put right material or financial issues from the past, what you arrange during 2009 can form a foundation for an unexpectedly prosperous future.
Health and Wellbeing
Being one of the three fire signs, the signs that are blessed with both abundant energy and enthusiasm, you seem to have an inexhaustible zest for life. Yet as you well know, when you run out of energy, you can collapse. You'll sometimes crash so hard that it takes you a very long time to recover. Because this is a year of relentless action, even you could easily deplete your energy. You could assume that you have enough resources to do just a little more when, in reality, you simply need to stop. As a result, during 2009, you'll be focusing both on learning to rest before you're completely exhausted and on ensuring that how you look after yourself - that is, your diet and your way of eating - supports you now, during such a demanding period. While this may seem an irritation and a bit of a nuisance, at least initially, the benefits you gain from what you learn about maintaining your health and wellbeing in this way will give you resilience now, when you want that extra boost of long term energy to sustain you now, while you pursue this year's exciting goals, and in the future as well.
Love and Close Relationships
You have an amazing ability to concentrate. When you're working on a plan or project, whatever its nature, you're able to focus on that to the exclusion of everything - and everybody - else. Those who know and love you understand that. Still, during 2009, perhaps your biggest challenge will be keeping those around you informed about what you're doing. Even more, you'll want to reassure them that, disruptive as your plans are, these individuals who you're closest to - intimate friends, family and loved ones - are still very much on your mind and at the centre of your feelings. This means that while you may not be able to be with them as much as you - or they - would like, you'll still try your best to give them those little attentions that mean so much: a call or a card or perhaps a small gift. Whatever the case, remain attentive to them. Once is not enough. This year's changes, in your life and around you, could also mean that you encounter interesting individuals and here, too, ensuring that you let them know they're important will turn what may just seem a chance encounter into something lasting and rewarding.
Mind, Body, Spirit
Although many Sagittarians lead a very active life, and rarely pause to reflect on the exact components of what they believe, most are natural philosophers and will always question the whys and wherefores of various ideas or ways of thinking or worshipping. This will be accentuated by this year's series of encounters between your ruler, Jupiter, and the intuitive Neptune, in May, July and December. This draws you inward. What you learn as a result of this won't just be intriguing, but could form the foundation for a philosophical approach to this year and to the years to come.
