So birthdays are meant to be an exciting time, having lots of gifts bestowed upon you and all the glasses of bubbly and "oh go on, it is your Birthday" excuses for overindulging, WELL, that is soooo not how I am feeling this week, I am so stressed from all the outfit organising that it actually is a blessing to be on the Maxitone Challenge.
I ventured to Westfield this week in search of the perfect "look how fabulous I am, and yes it is my 30th Birthday outfit!" lets just say, thank the stars for Maxitone bars! They got the adrenaline going and literally kept me going shop after shop, lap after lap, aisle after aisle, and let me tell you for those who have never been there, there is temptation to feast at every corner, firstly you enter through a village, yes a village of wall to wall bars, restaurants, cafes and then when you enter there are a plethora of champagne bars dotted around. So if, like me, you need to be fully fuelled in order to unleash the inner Gok, this shopping trip was pretty much a test of the soul.
Thankfully, although I wanted to peruse every menu (just in case we had the opportunity to celebrate my award winning purchase), I didn't feel like I was running on empty so didn't feel the need. God Bless you beautiful little protein bar!
Although I had no luck with the birthday outfit, so it seems you are not completely magical!
So I think apart from the outfit failure, I have done really well, I have totted up at least 5 hrs shopping, which counts as cardio in my book, and managed to keep my head out of the fridge all week, (Yes Richard. fridge pickers wear big knickers, give it a rest will you)
Until next week when I am older and thinner
Ciao Darlings!
