Youve come this far, how are you feeling?
Yasmina: I just cant wait to find out who its going to be, whether its the first path or the second path I just want to get walking down it, basically.
Kate: Im quite nervous. Im proud of myself to have got into the final and god-forbid if I shouldnt win then Ill be really pleased for Yasmina, were good friends and shes been a great competitor. Either way Im just going to try and be positive, but Id love to win.
How much of it is a game?
Yasmina: Its like the best game you can possibly imagine and youre just a pawn in the middle of it.
What do you think of Sir Alan, Nick and Margaret?
Yasmina: Theyre all very intelligent. Early on you realise it doesnt matter what you to say because theyre going to direct the conversation the way they want. You have to be really quick and on the ball.
What do you think you have over one another?
Kate: Sometimes its frustrating when people are trying to force you into a corner to say why youre better. Its not a case of that. Its not a case of Im better than her.
Yasmina: Which is why well be pleased no matter what happens I know Ill be pleased for Kate if she wins and I know shell be pleased for me. Kates presenting skills are second-to-none. She can have a whole room captivated. Shes extremely articulate and quick with her thought processes. When you meet Kate you think oh-my-god shes beautiful and after five minutes you realise shes intelligent too.
Kate: The final task is about designing chocolates and Yasminas from a catering background and I wondered whether that might put her at a bit of an advantage.
Kate you were described as boring. Is that fair?
Kate: Im not a boring person but I was keen to keep up a professional image throughout. That might have been perceived negatively by some people, but I can take criticism on the chin.
You dropped your guard when Lorraine gave you dagger eyes during the shopping channel task.
Kate: I responded badly to the fact that she was trying to wind me up. Thats what ruffled me, not her criticism, she couldnt let it drop. She seems to take pleasure in winding people up.
Yasmina, in the interviews it was suggested your restaurant figures were made up.
Yasmina: I went in expecting a normal interview and it was an interrogation. I hadnt thought about my business accounts for about five months and the whole thing went tits up. I made a complete fool out of myself and walked out and said, guys that was just terrible.
But you didnt say that did you?
Yasmina: I did say it, but they cut the wrong exit in. Which was unfair, but Ive had an apology. You know, its a television programme, were aware of that.
Kate, are we going to see you and Phil in OK magazine?
Kate: Obviously if I win then Im going to be working for Sir Alan, and if I dont win my priority is going to be getting another fantastic job opportunity.
