The results were definitely super soft, finger-gliding hair and the fact that it's intended to remove the effects of hard water, makes it ideal for city dwellers.

Shu Uemura Art of Haircare Full Shimmer Illuminating Treatment

A dark red, grown-up tub, all slick and sleek, looks like it means serious business but the contents are soft, floral and girly with a light and almost gel-like consistency. A small, golf ball sized dollop, left in for 10 minutes, left hair soft and moisturised. The added bonus is that it also gave the best volume and bounciest curls ever!

Trilogy Botanical Moisture Mask

This thick, whipped cream-like mask is supposed to be used every time you wash your hair until it gets stronger and shinier and then once a week thereafter. After two washes I noticed my hair was shinier but it's a pain to towel-dry and then apply. The small tub is not enough for long haired lovelies, so I can't imagine it will last very long. But the fresh scent, with lots of Shea butter makes this a soft and nourishing product to use.

Molton Brown Re-Awakening Mer-Rouge Hair Masque

This is an intense hydrating mask, and boy does it work. I literally felt like I had baby's hair - once applied it was falling through my fingers like seaweed. Obviously the results were amazing - maybe a little too good as I couldn't straighten my hair, it was so soft! I'd recommend doing it a few nights before your usual routine or as a post-styling treatment, but perfect for holidays!

Kadus Hydro Energy Mask

I hadn't heard of this salon brand but I was impressed with the results. My hair was so soft I couldn't stop touching it all day! The directions say to leave on for 5-10 minutes but time is of the essence in the morning so 3-5 minutes were all I had, and it seemed to work fine. Ignore the rather uninviting-looking gel - the healthy-feeling hair results you get are worth it.
