Velvet hues
Pale pastels and cool tones ruled the summer palette but for autumn/winter get ready for rich velvety shades in burgundy, copper and blonde and a shot of midnight black for followers of the gothic grunge trend as seen at Proenza Schouler and Lanvin. "Brunettes will be working with leather browns, hazelnut hues, matte conker and midnight black, as well as gloss and matt finishes to give a greater depth to their colour," explains Christel Lundqvist, HOB Salons colour director. "For blondes, it will be an infusion of different tones such as cotton white, oyster, pearl, chinchilla, tea rose, pewter and sand."
