Grunge to go
Channelling '90s grunge with Kurt Cobain-esque textures and gritty matted manes, session stylists at Marc Jacobs, Felder Felder, Proenza Schouler and Roberto Cavalli all played with beach-meets-bed hair but cleaned it up to create causal, care-free tresses. "This time round, the look is more of a nod to grunge in the sense that the elements of simplicity are still a major factor, but this time the hair is clean," says hair hero Neil Moodie, who fashioned the look at Burberry. "The old grunge era was all about dirty, greasy, messy hair, this time we used clean hair, kept the centre parting but left hair flat and simple or blow-dried it loosely."
